Pets are members of the family and there’s no more important time to keep families together than during hospice care.
In partnership with the national program, Pet Peace of Mind®, Community Hospice offers volunteer support and complimentary pet services to hospice patients regardless of financial need. These services are free due to generous community support.
Hospice patients may face difficulty providing care for their pets. Pet Peace of Mind® helps patients and caregivers by offering an extra set of hands, so they don’t have to worry about their pets’ current or future care. Volunteers go to the patient’s home to provide care and transport pets for grooming and other services.
