Support Letter: City of Longview

Dear Mr. Greg Pang and the Community Home Health and Hospice family,

On behalf of the Longview City Council, and the residents of Longview, we express our support for the Community Home Health and Hospice (CHHH) renovation project of the Longview
Hospice Care Center. The foresight that CHHH has in choosing to reinvest in Cowlitz County’s inpatient hospice facility and meet advancements in medical care, security, technology and
infection control is honored and appreciated.

We value and appreciate the fiscally responsible efforts that CHHH has taken to reengineer the intended $6 million construction plan to $4.2 million, a 30% savings in costs. Relocating the
Longview Hospice administrative staff, to allow a 46% increase in space in the new construction plan for patients and families, makes great sense!

We celebrate that CHHH recently secured a $1 million commitment from an individual donor which will launch the capital campaign.

The City of Longview is pleased to know that the renovation project of the Longview Hospice Care Center is renovation-ready, COVID-prepared, efficient and cost effective, and will
modernize the Longview Hospice Care Center and support optimal care for its patients for
decades to come. Thank you.

We encourage all efforts towards the renovation of the Longview Hospice Care Center.

Respectfully,

MaryAlice Wallis, Mayor
