Retired employee joins Community Legacy Society
Retired nurse Terry Skrentny held many leadership positions over her 24-year career with Community Home Health & Hospice including hospice, home health, medical records, and information technology. Despite her many and significant accomplishments, she is unfailingly humble and avoids recognition. Terry is also a longtime donor to Community, preferring to give anonymously. She was reluctant to appear in Reflections but reconsidered so that others might be inspired to include Community in their will as she did.
After her retirement, Terry made a will and listed Community as a beneficiary. She gave two reasons for her decision: to help Community carry on its “great work” caring for Southwest Washington and Northwest Oregon families and to “say thanks for the privilege” of working at Community.
It’s easy to include Community in your will. You can leave a specific dollar amount like Terry did, or indicate a percentage of your estate to go to Community. Terry became an automatic member of the Community Legacy Society (CLS) by leaving Community in her will. The CLS honors individuals like Terry who want to give back to ensure Community is around to care for generations to come.
To help sustain Community in the future, please consider leaving us in your will. For information contact firstname.lastname@example.org or 360.597.0717.
