Community Home Health & Hospice is proud to announce that Linda Melton received the Healthcare Professional of the Year award at the Clark County Senior Heroes Award Luncheon on May 15, 2019. Melton was nominated by her peers and selected by a committee. The award acknowledges a person in the medical profession that goes above and beyond for seniors in their care.
“Linda is an everyday champion who works quietly behind the scenes to make life better for seniors. She rolls up her sleeves, digs in and does whatever needs to be done for our agency and the community—all without being asked. Linda is ever so humble and one of the nicest people you’ll ever meet. We’re lucky to have her,” said Marykay Morelli, vice president of community relations, Community Home Health & Hospice. Melton has been in business development at Community Home Health & Hospice since 2011. Prior to her job with Community, she worked in veterinary diagnostic management for 34 years. She is active in Friends of Hospice of Southwest Washington, the End of Life Coalition, C6TC, and other healthcare organizations. She enjoys organic gardening, hiking, yoga and photography, and rescuing big cats for WildCat Ridge Sanctuary.
