Congratulations to longtime Community employee Danielle Cooper for winning the Home Care Association of Washington (HCAW) award for Support Staff of the Year!
As Community’s Scheduling and Supply Supervisor, Danielle has been crucial to the survival of Community throughout the pandemic. Her ability to look and plan ahead kept personal protective equipment (PPE) at stock levels that allowed staff to be fully protected at all times. She also committed to working in the office full time throughout lockdown so her employees could work from home and homeschool their children.
Aside from the pandemic, Danielle is the point person for challenges around the office due to her creative thinking and calm, empathetic nature. She’s there to help patients with their urgent needs, rethink scheduling changes within the clinical team, and negotiate lower prices with vendors, benefitting the entirety of Community.
“This is very much appreciated,” said Danielle. “I have been around a long time and love the agency I work for and believe in what we do. I just come to work and do my job to the best of my ability every day; and working with the extraordinary people I do makes it even better.
“I will say, the recognition is nice and does make you continue to do your best. Thank you.”
Danielle has worked in almost every department in her 21 years at Community, brightening the lives of hundreds of patients, families and employees. Her award is well deserved, and we are so grateful to have her on our team.
