Community volunteers gathered in person for the first time in years for a small celebration and training session.
Grateful for Our Volunteers
Volunteer Coordinator Sheryl Reeder honored our volunteer team in November with a donation to the Grateful Hearts program. Here’s what she had to say:
“As the Volunteer Coordinator for Community Home Health and Hospice it is my honor to recognize our incredible hospice volunteers with a personal donation to our Grateful Hearts Program. Our 60+ active volunteers serve on our Board of Directors, spend time with patients and their families in our care centers and in patients’ homes, transport pets to and from appointments with our Pet Peace of Mind program, belong to the Threshold Choir and sing to our patients at their bedside, deliver medical supplies to our Vancouver patients, and offer support in our marketing and volunteer departments. Each volunteer brings their own skill set and a love for helping others in their respective communities. I am truly grateful to each of them for their loyalty – especially over the past 2+ years through the global pandemic – devotion, compassion, and resilience. In the immortal words of Tina Turner: ‘You’re simply the best!'”
