Free volunteer orientation for Community Hospice

LONGVIEW, WA, February 23, 2015 – Community Hospice, a division of Community Home Health & Hospice, is seeking compassionate individuals (especially veterans) to volunteer with hospice patients in Cowlitz, Columbia and Wahkiakum counties. A free 15-hour orientation is scheduled for March 12 and 13, 2015, 9 am – 4:30 pm. The training gives volunteers the necessary knowledge to provide companionship and respite for hospice patients and their caregivers.  There are other volunteer opportunities at Community Home Health & Hospice with the Hospice Care Center – Longview, Hospice Thrift Store, special events, and office support.  For further information, please contact Sheryl Reeder, volunteer coordinator, at sheryl.reeder@chhh.org or 360.414.5433 or 800.378.8510.
