LONGVIEW, Wash., June 1, 2015 –The local community provided nearly $132,000 in support of Community Home Health & Hospice’s charity care mission during this year’s A lil’ bit of paradise 2015: Mexican fiesta fundraiser! Over 440 people showed up to “party with a purpose” at the Cowlitz County Regional Conference Center on Friday, May 1 and helped exceed the agency’s goal of $120,000.
“Thank you to everyone who played a part in the success of this year’s event. The support from the event is testimony to our outstanding staff, volunteers, and the importance of our mission. We couldn’t do it without the support of the community,” said CEO Greg Pang.
Event proceeds went to support Community’s charity care program which provides home health and hospice services such as care for uninsured and underinsured patients, inpatient respite care, telemonitoring, grief support and translation and transportation services, extraordinary care and other support programs such as We Honor Veterans and Pet Peace of Mind. Last year, the agency spent almost $700,000 dollars on charity care!
