LONGVIEW, Wash., January 5, 2015 –
Community Home Health & Hospice (Community) announces the appointment of Teresa Martin, BSN, RN, and Marykay Morelli, MBA, to the board of the Washington State Hospice and Palliative Care Organization (WSHPCO). Martin is serving a term ending in December 2015. Morelli served a term ending in December 2014 and was appointed to a two-year term ending in December 2016.
Martin joined Community in 2009 where she is the in-home hospice director. In addition to overseeing home hospice and palliative patient care, she directs the following programs: volunteer, grief support, We Honor Veterans and Pet Peace of Mind. Before joining Community, Martin worked at Kaiser Permanente for 10 years first as a home hospice nurse case manager, and then as the clinical coordinator for Kaiser’s Clark County hospice and palliative care team.
Morelli has served as the community relations director at Community since 2007 where she is responsible for resource development including philanthropy, outreach and marketing. She supports WSHPCO’s public policy work, routinely meeting with federal and state legislators to promote hospice and home health. Of Martin’s and Morelli’s appointments, Community CEO Greg Pang said, “Having two key leaders serving influential roles on the WSHPCO board is a testament to their professional stature and industry knowledge. I am extremely proud of these individuals and all they have accomplished to make our community and state better through their advocacy.”
