Vancouver, Wash., April 21, 2015 –
After a five-year journey, Community Home Health & Hospice (Community) recently cut the ribbon on its 21,000 square-foot hospice care center in Salmon Creek. Nestled in a wooded setting bordered by wetlands, the 10-bed facility resembles a Pacific Northwest guest lodge. The public is invited to drop by for a self-guided tour and refreshments and meet the staff on Friday, April 24, 2015 from 2-6 pm at 3102 NE 134th St. in Vancouver. Parking is limited so public transportation and carpooling are encouraged.
The care center is designed for patient and family comfort. The private patient suites are spacious to accommodate overnight guests. They open into a beautiful courtyard with a cascading fountain. Multiple family areas are designed for loved ones to spend quality time together. The large chapel is a sacred space where solace and comfort abound for people of all faiths.
Saturday’s ribbon cutting was attended by 120 key supporters including elected officials. In his remarks at the event, Community CEO Greg Pang said, “I am struck by the wide array of community members who rallied behind our hospice care center, similar to an old-fashioned barn raising. In reviewing the long list of amazing people and organizations who gave their support, it’s true that it takes a Community to bring this much-needed service to Clark County families.”
