Community employee to serve on NHPCO’s Quality and Standards Committee

Community Home Health & Hospice (Community) employee Linda Johnson, RN, was appointed to the National Hospice Palliative Care Organization’s (NHPCO) Quality and Standards Committee. The committee promotes quality care during end-of-life through NHPCO’s national quality program, Quality Partners® and other programs. In addition, the committee updates NHPCO’s Standards of Practice for hospice programs to ensure regulatory compliance and best practices. It also assists with the development of NHPCO quality resources.

Johnson is a 24-year employee with Community, currently serving as quality improvement coordinator. Her attention to detail and knowledge of home health and hospice regulations ensure quality care for patients. Linda also volunteers for Community as the official Camp Cedars Grief Camp photographer, as well as running the photo booth at the annual Community gala along with her husband. She developed her love of photography when her four children were young as a way to document their life and has since become an award-winning published photographer. She has generously donated several prints for the new hospice center Community is opening in Vancouver in spring 2015. In her spare time, Linda enjoys spending time with her family, sewing, gardening, hiking, reading and caring for her home. She looks forward to retirement in January 2015.
