LONGVIEW, Wash., October 12, 2016 – On Friday, August 26, more than 40 golfers gathered at Three Rivers Golf Course for the second annual Charity Care Challenge benefiting Community Home Health & Hospice (Community). The event exceeded last year’s funds raised and brought in $8,800. Participants were able to enjoy 18-holes of golf with the chance to win a $20k vehicle through this year’s hole-in-one contest sponsored by Columbia Ford Lincoln Hyundai, unlimited driving range access, specialized player’s gifts, lunch provided by the Shamrock Spirits & Grill and an awards dinner provided by Kelso-Longview Elks Lodge No. 1482.
In addition to title sponsors Fibre Federal Credit Union and Red Canoe Credit Union, other sponsors included hole-in-one sponsor Columbia Ford Lincoln Hyundai, hole sponsors – Allied Solutions, Cascade Fiber Services, Cowlitz County Title, Farleigh Wada Witt, Global Security, Heritage Bank Women’s Scramble & Three Rivers Women’s Golf Association, Mint Valley Credit Union and Stewart Title, cart sponsor – CoPrintco, driving range sponsor – Quicken Loans, putting contest sponsor – Guild Mortgage, lunch sponsor – Shamrock Spirits & Grill and dinner sponsor – Kelso-Longview Elks Lodge No. 1482.
All proceeds from the event were donated to Community’s charity care program, which provides home health and hospice services for uninsured and underinsured patients, inpatient respite care, telemonitoring, free grief support, translation, extraordinary care and support services that include Community’s We Honor Veterans and Pet Peace of Mind programs. Community spent $663,812 in 2014-2015 on charity care services.
