Community Chaplain Charlean Hayes Hughes pays special attention to every patient that she comes across.
”Charlean visited several times. We were surprised by how much [our nephew] looked forward to her visits,” said Melissa Keenberg regarding her nephew’s time with Community in 2017.
Melissa donated $1,000 in honor of Char towards the Grateful Hearts program. This recognition is just the cherry on top for what Char already finds a rewarding career.
“Spiritual pain is part of the experience for most patients and their families,” she said. “So being able to be a part of people’s lives at this critical time is highly rewarding for me as a minister and a member of the community.”
