What health insurance does CHHH offer?
Employees may choose from three medical insurance plans through Kaiser Permanente to meet their medical needs. These include the traditional HMO, a HMO with $250 Deductible and Added Choice with health care options that are available outside of the Kaiser network. Two dental plans are available from which to choose. These include the Kaiser Permanente (in network) plan and the Principal Indemnity plan for those who choose to use their private dentist.
Does CHHH offer health reimbursement accounts?
Flexible Spending Accounts allow staff to pay for certain health-related and dependent care expenses with pre-tax dollars, resulting in increased take-home pay. These include Unreimbursed Health Expenses such as health plan deductibles, co-pays, dental expenses, vision care, over-the-counter drugs and more. Dependent Care Expenses include childcare and elder care expenses incurred while at work or school that may be deducted from your paycheck before taxes.
When do medical benefits become effective?
Eligibility - Health, dental and flexible spending account benefits become effective the first day of the month following 30 days of employment for staff who enroll in a plan. To be eligible, staff must work a minimum of 20 hours weekly.
Does CHHH offer other insurance coverage?
Other Insurance - Voluntary benefits are available to meet the changing needs of staff. These include: Disability Income Insurance, Accident Insurance, Cancer Insurance, Critical Illness Insurance, Medical Bridge and Term or Universal Life Insurance.
What type of retirement plan does CHHH offer?
Upon hire, staff working 20 or more hours weekly are eligible to participate in the 403(b)7 Savings Plan. Enrollment is quarterly: January 1, April 1, July 1, or October 1. After 12 months of employment and completing at least 1,000 hours of service, CHHH will match each pay period up to 4% of an employee’s pay.
Does CHHH offer paid time off?
Eligible employees are paid a generous Earned Leave benefit that combines vacation, holiday and sick days. This program gives employees the flexibility to use earned leave to meet their needs. Twice a year employees may buy back earned leave hours. This benefit provides more paid time off than traditional vacation and sick day plans for employees who are not often ill. Any earned leave hours accrued but not taken will be paid to employees when they terminate employment. Other Paid Leave - Eligible employees are paid bereavement and jury duty leave.
What type of educational reimbursement does CHHH offer?
Elective Staff Education - Financial assistance is available to employees to enhance skills within their current position or to prepare for other job opportunities with CHHH. Tuition reimbursement for elective education activities includes an Associate's, Bachelor's, Master's Degree or Certificate Programs.
In-Service and Continuing Education - CHHH provides In-Service Education (on site) and encourages participation in continuing education (off site) opportunities in support of staff in areas relating to job performance.
Other Benefits - CHHH has an Employee Assistance Program (EAP) that provides employees free, confidential, professional assistance and guidance in solving problems.
