• Group support is available for anyone who has experienced the death of a family member or friend; not just those whose loved one was a patient of Community Home Health & Hospice (CHHH).
• Anyone can participate for up to one year.
• Bereavement services are provided free of charge thanks to the generosity of the community.  
• Support groups provide a safe place to work through the emotions associated with grief and loss.  Groups are facilitated by CHHH employees and volunteers trained in grief education.

• For children 6-12 who have experienced the death of a loved one.
• Children are encouraged to share their feelings and learn how to cope with grief and loss.
• Group activities include talking circle, games and arts and crafts.
• Families find support groups are helpful 12-18 months following a death.
• Parents or guardians remain on-site and participate in an adult group while children are in bereavement groups.
• Children are given the opportunity to participate free of charge in a 3 day residential camp experience, Camp Cedars.  The camp is held each summer.
• At camp grieving children learn that their feelings are perfectly normal and that they are not alone. Each child has the opportunity to memorialize their loved one.

TEEN GRIEF SUPPORT

• For teens ages 13-18 who have experienced the death of a loved one.
• Teens learn how to cope with their loss and understand their feelings in a positive way.
• Teens learn skills to assist them in processing their grief and honoring their memories of loved ones.
• A safe place for teens to talk about their feelings.
• The teen bereavement group will begin when school starts up.
