We have a 12-bed Hospice-Hospital, specializing in a high level of nursing care.  The Care Center is utilized for respite care, symptom management, and end-of-life care.  Respite care is available to allow the family a break from caregiving responsibilities.

Family members or significant support people in the patient’s life are always welcome to stay with their loved one in our inpatient hospice.  The Hospice Care Center is designed to meet the needs of terminal patients and their family members.  Patient rooms are warm and spacious.  There is a family kitchen and playroom, and three additional family areas.  They are utilized for family gatherings as well as personal sharing.  Visiting hours are never restricted and children are always welcome.  Moreover, patients often have their pets visit during their stay.  Additionally, free wireless internet access is available 24 hours a day.

Our hospice inpatient unit strives for individualized care.  We urge patients and family members to let us know of any personal requests, including diet preferences, spiritual support, counseling needs, or alternative therapies.

HOSPICE CARE CENTER MEMORIAL BOARD

The Memorial Board is located inside the Hospice Care Center.  Cumulative contributions of $500 and up from one or more donors qualify the deceased’s name to be placed on the board.  The memorial plaques are automatically ordered once the $500 amount has been reached.  Letters to one or more family members are mailed twice a month with the name and address of each donor along with the cumulative dollar amount in their loved one’s memory.
