| Home Health provides a variety of clinical services for home bound patients during an illness or after surgery. Home Health care is short term, for infants to the elderly, and must have a doctor’s referral. A variety of professionals are used based on the assessed needs of each patient. Their duties include: - Nurses provide wound care management, IV therapy, medication management, diabetes instruction, post surgery care and a variety of other services.
- Physical Therapists re-establish the patient's mobility through exercises to strengthen the patient we put an emphasis on home safety.
Occupational Therapists teach the patient and caregiver how to use home equipment and other devices to adapt to daily living.Home care aides provide personal care to the patient.Social Workers are available to help the patient and caregivers navigate the often confusing health care system.Speech Therapist assist with restoration of speech and communication as well as swallowing. Ultimately, Home Health’s goal is to move the patient back to an independent life and to enhance the patient’s quality of life.
